Skyway Trading Enterprise is a socially responsible and innovation-driven business committed to empowering marginalized communities through sustainable handicraft production and climate-smart agribusiness. We produce and export high-quality, eco-friendly baskets and other handcrafted products made from upcycled materials. In parallel, we engage in the cultivation of crops such as pepper, onions, tomatoes, maize, and soybeans using environmentally sustainable practices.
We work with Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and single mothers particularly those raising children with disabilities by equipping them with artisanal skills in eco-friendly basket weaving. These baskets are crafted from recycled rubber, natural fibers, and other sustainable materials. Skyway provides ongoing training and support, and purchases the finished products at fair trade market prices, ensuring equitable income, dignity, and long-term empowerment.

To strengthen our market presence, we conduct regular market research to understand buyer preferences and trends, and we actively engage potential customers to expand our reach and adapt our product lines accordingly.
Our inclusive model is rooted in innovation: we apply circular economy principles, promote adaptive learning, and integrate design thinking into our training processes to nurture creativity and continuous improvement among artisans.

Skyway began its farming journey with a one-acre vegetable farm focused on dry-season cultivation of pepper, onions, and tomatoes. Today, we have expanded to a 50-acre farm in Balungu, Talensi District (Upper East Region). During the rainy season, we grow maize and soybeans, while 5 acres are dedicated to vegetable production supported by a modern drip irrigation system.
We train farmers especially PWDs and single mothers in sustainable and climate-resilient farming techniques. We provide quality farm inputs, introduce innovative tools such as solar-powered irrigation and precision agriculture technologies, and create dignified employment opportunities in cultivation, harvesting, and post-harvest processing.

Through these inclusive and forward-thinking approaches, Skyway Trading Enterprise contributes meaningfully to community empowerment, food security, economic resilience, and environmental sustainability.
